Terms
Terms of use
Plain-language terms for using this website and its state program directory.
Informational purpose only
Everything on this site is general information about unclaimed-property claim workflows. It is not legal advice, tax advice, or a determination of entitlement to any property. State rules change; always rely on your state's official program for authoritative requirements.
No client relationship
Using this site, completing the assessment, or emailing us does not create a client, agency, or representation relationship of any kind. A relationship can only begin with a written agreement signed by both parties, and only where permitted by the law of the state involved.
No claim submission through this site
ReclaimPath does not file claims through this website, does not contact state programs on your behalf based on anything entered here, and does not interact with any third party for you. Claims are filed with the official state unclaimed-property program.
Service availability
Assisted case support is not currently offered. Where it becomes available, it will be limited to states that permit it, subject to that state's fee limits, disclosure requirements, and waiting periods, and delivered through appropriately qualified representatives.
No guarantee
No recovery, timeline, amount, or outcome is promised or guaranteed. Any examples or descriptions of a process are illustrative of how claims generally work, not a prediction about your situation.
Accuracy of state information
Links to official state programs are provided for convenience and are reviewed periodically. States occasionally change program names and web addresses. If a link is wrong, tell us at support@reclaimpath.org and we will correct it.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to submit sensitive personal records, to attempt to access data you are not entitled to, or to scrape, overload, or interfere with the site or the state resources it links to.
Your free option
You may always search for and claim unclaimed property directly through the relevant official state program at no cost. ReclaimPath is an independent service and is not affiliated with any government agency.
Limitation of liability
This site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReclaimPath is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the general information published here.
